YIM Newtownabbey x 2
Newtownabbey will see 2 Youth in Motion CDs come from the area.
Pupils from Glengormley High School and Edmund Rice College have already recorded material with musicians from Switzerland, Zimbabwe, Slovakia and Nepal in the McPeake Central Studios, Belfast. The recordings' will be available in July 08 to download from this site.
The project has been funded by the PSNI and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
Also another Newtownabbey Youth in Motion project will start September 08 with young people from Glengormley Youth Centre with a focus on a more urban dance approach.

YIM East Belfast
14 Young People over the autumn of 2007 recorded a 5 track CD at Shabby Road Studios, East Belfast. Featuring guest artists from Zimbabwe, Poland, Iran, India and N. Ireland.
The project was funded by The Northern Ireland Housing Associations Charitable Trust (NIHACT).

YIM Derrynoid
Between 16th-18th Nov 07 at Derrynoid Rural College, 16 young people came together from Ballymena, Belfast and Banbridge to record sessions for a YIM CD.
With onsite recording units, more sound equipment than U2, loads of coffee and musical direction from musicians representing Poland, Iran, India, Zimbabwe and Ireland, a kaleidoscope of original music was created. The project was in association with the Horizon Project.
